Perfect Smile Acton SDS
Perfect Smile SDS formerly known as Springfield Dental Surgery is our dental practice based in Acton, West London. The original surgery was established in the 60s and in 1970, it was re-built in a futuristic design which featured in BBC’s Tomorrow’s World. The surgery is again going to be renovated shortly.
The surgery specialises in offering sedation services to nervous patients including adults and children, and also acts as a referral centre accepting patients from other practices.
Services include all routine dental treatment either under NHS or private. These services are set to expand after the refurbishment is complete.
The practice is 5 surgeries and is open Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 5pm. The surgery is close to bus and tube stations and there is pay and display parking opposite the surgery.
There is access to the surgery without the use of stairs for disabled patients.

Dr Fareed AhmadDentist

Dr. Fareed Ahmad BDS LDSRCS, qualified in 1978 at The Royal London Hospital, London University. Practised as general dental practitioner in family practice for 5 years and then served as in charge of the Ahmadiyya Mission Dental Clinic in the Gambia from 1983-1987. Joined Peter Hunter's general anaesthetic and sedation practice, known as Springfield Dental Surgery in 1988 and became Principal and owner of the practice from 1991. Springfield Dental Surgery was transferred to the Perfect Smile group in 2012.
Highly experienced general dental practitioner, now serving as an Associate at the practice with considerable experience in providing dental treatment under intravenous sedation for adults, and inhalational sedation using nitrous oxide and oxygen for young children. Long standing member of SAAD (Society for the Advancement of Anaesthesia in Dentistry) and DSTG (Dental Sedation Teachers Group) and the BDA (British Dental Association). Also a SAAD mentor to assist in training dentists in sedation techniques.

Dr. John HarveyDentist

Dr. John Harvey qualified in 1989 from University College Hospital.
With over 23 years of experience in dentistry, Dr. John Harvey is one of Acton SDS senior leading dentist. Twenty one of those years have been spent in the Acton SDS practice.
He has extensive experience in IV sedation and RA.
Dr. John Harvey provides both NHS and private treatments; he enjoys the multidisciplinary specialistic environment at Acton SDS and bonds humanly with his patients. He has undertaken extensive postgraduate courses in almost all fields of dentistry with special interest and emphasis in restorative, aesthetic and preventive dentistry.

Dr Najme ShokrolahiDentist

Dr. Najme Shokrolahi qualified in Umea University Sweden. She has over 15 years of experience and has divided that time between the NHS and Private sector of dentistry. She also has over 10 years of experience in working with Sedation.Dr. Najme Shokrolahi enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, particularly restorative and aesthetic; she is a regular attender of postgraduate courses and keeps up to date with current trends, while her relaxed attitude helps to put her patients at ease.
Her special interests are all aspects of Aesthetic Dentistry and Restorative work including: crowns, bridge and veneers with special emphasis on minimally invasive dentistry and providing support for anxious patients.

Dr Jyotika OokaDentist

Dr. Jyotika Ooka qualified in Pretoria, South Africa in 1999.
She completed a Diploma in Clinical Dentistry at the University of Stellenbosch. She has spent 4 years in private practice as a clinical supervisor at the University of Witwaterstrand in South Africa before immigrating to the United Kingdom in 2004
She has extensive experience as a general dental practitioner. Her special interests are Preventive and Cosmetic dentistry and she is committed to continued professional development, regularly attending courses in restorative dentistry.
Dr. Jyotika Ooka completed a course in conscious sedation (SAAD) in 2005. She provides dental treatment generally and under IV Sedation and RA.
Jyotika has a dedicated and relaxed approach and always takes the time to place patients at ease, she enjoys working with children.

Dr. Aram NavaiDentist

Aram is a graduate of the renowned Guy’s, King’s and St. Thomas’ Dental institute and has worked in a number of general dental practices in London and in the West Midlands. He has a keen interest in Cosmetic and Restorative dentistry and oral surgery.
Aram gained extensive experience in the field of oral surgery through his training as a Senior House Officer in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. During this time he worked with consultants in 7 well known hospitals in North and West London carrying out a range of surgical procedures of the head and neck including the treatment of patients with facial trauma and complex oral surgical cases referred in by general practitioners.
Following completion of extensive postgraduate training and examinations, Aram was awarded the prestigious Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties (faculty of dental surgery and faculty of general dental practice) by the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
Aram currently works in a number of practices in West London providing all aspects of general dental care in addition to taking referrals for a range of Minor Oral Surgery procedures including:
Routine extractions of teeth and buried roots
Surgical extractions of teeth and buried roots
Routine and surgical extractions of wisdom teeth
Frenectomy procedures
Pre-prosthetic procedures including simple ridge augmentation
Excision of soft tissue lesions and biopsiesAram is experienced in treating nervous patients and is known for his understanding and caring approach to providing dental treatment. He is a member of the Society for the Advancement of Anaesthesia in Dentistry (SAAD) and is also able to provide treatment under sedation (intravenous or inhalational) for those patients who are too anxious to undergo dental treatment routinely.

Dr. Manoj RaiDentist

Dr. Manoj Rai qualified in Kings Hospital in 1997.
Since qualifying from Kings Hospital; in 1997 Dr. Rai Manoj has been working in the NHS and private sector of dentistry, with a wide experience of general dentistry and an interest in managing anxious patients.
He continues to develop his skills and is regularly attending post graduate education to further his skill.
He has extensive experience in providing sedation and provides a full range of cosmetic dental treatments.
Dr. Manoj Rai believes, in honest, general dentistry and treats patients as if they were his own family. He works in a very friendly manner, and will always try to put patients at ease and he has gained a great reputation for working well with anxious patients.
Dr. Manoj Rai has a special interest in orthodontics and orthodontic procedures.
