NHS dental fees are set nationally rather than calculated separately for every individual procedure.
Your charge is determined by the highest treatment band needed within the same course of care. This means, for example, that several Band 2 treatments completed as part of one course do not each attract a separate Band 2 fee.
Urgent NHS treatment has its own unscheduled-care charge. Eligibility rules may also mean some patients receive NHS dental care free of charge or qualify for help with costs.
