Enquire About Dental Implants

Replacing Missing Teeth with Dental Implants

Dental implants can replace a single missing tooth, several teeth or teeth that can no longer be restored. An implant is placed in the jawbone to provide a foundation for a crown, bridge or another suitable restoration.

Before treatment, your teeth, gums and available bone are assessed to determine whether implants are appropriate. Where more detailed information is needed, a CT scan may be used to help plan implant positioning and assess the surrounding anatomy.

Patients considering dental implants in Twickenham can discuss the available options according to the number and location of missing teeth and their wider oral health.

Experienced Implantologist in Twickenham

Suneil Amin (GDC 177837) is an Implantologist at Perfect Smile with a particular interest in surgical, restorative, implant and cosmetic dentistry.

His experience allows implant treatment to be considered alongside the condition of the remaining teeth, gums and supporting bone. Where necessary, additional procedures such as bone grafting or a sinus lift can also be assessed as part of treatment planning.

For patients comparing the best dental implants Twickenham options, the consultation provides an opportunity to understand the proposed treatment, expected stages and whether any preparatory procedures may be required.

Implant Solutions for Different Levels of Tooth Loss

A single implant may support one replacement tooth, while several implants can be used to support a bridge or a larger restoration. The number of implants required does not always correspond directly to the number of missing teeth.

Treatment is planned around the restoration that needs to be supported, your bite and the amount of healthy bone available. This allows the implant team to consider the most appropriate approach without automatically placing an implant for every missing tooth.

Implant-Supported Dentures

Patients with loose or uncomfortable dentures may be able to use dental implants to improve their stability. Implant-supported dentures attach to implants placed in the jaw, helping provide greater support during activities such as eating and speaking.

Patients researching dentures implant Twickenham treatment can have their existing dentures, oral health and available bone assessed before an implant-supported option is recommended.

Not every patient requires the same number of implants, and the final design depends on the type of denture or restoration being supported.
